Boroboroton

An amorphous pile of fabric gradually comes to life, molting and transforming. Lying in the grass watching clouds glide by, and observing how your brain interprets. Mirage, hallucination, or simply our brain trying to make sense of the abstraction unfolding before our eyes?

For a new series of experiments, Peeters draws on his fascination with the history of psychiatry. Sparking point for Boroboroton is a selection of neuro-psychiatric disorders that distort the perception of one's own body. Someone is convinced they are a chair, for someone else the boundaries of their own body seem fluid, and a third person has the impression of constantly deforming and transforming... Peeters invites textile designers and performers for an abstract visual meditation, loosely inspired by such phenomena.
