Rowing Underwater is a selection of new compositions by virtuoso guitar player Geoffrey Burton in collaboration with percussionist Tsubasa Hori and artist/musician Sarah Yu Zeebroek. The work evokes images of nature regaining mastery over a world left behind by industrialised man. Burton’s almost electronic approach to guitar contrasts with the taiko and koto sounds of Japanese percussionist Tsubasa Hori and Sarah Yu Zeebroek’s world created with two old overhead projectors.
