• Georgy Chtchevaev

Georgy Chtchevaev graduated as a performer and creator from LUCA Drama. The combination of gender identity, queerness and technology are central to their work. At the intersection between theater, drag, visual arts and music, they find themselves in rare interdisciplinary territory. From generic pop to ritualistic chants, experimental scream poetry, and electrifying lipsyncs; they shun nothing. They also organizes quite a few queer-minded cultural events with the organization Queer Leuven, including the recent Queer Arts Festival Leuven. Georgy will bring a performance on music by Madou and will host the entire show.

• Tony Knollt

Little is known about Tony Knollt, but when he sees the light of day in Dutch town Assendelft in 1946, nobody can anticipate the huge musical talent of the little kid. When co-founding the George Baker Selection in his twenties, everyone agrees: Knollt’s talent knows no limits. However, after a dispute gets out of hand, Knollt and George Baker part ways on the band’s first rehearsal day. The two never got over the fight - Tony Knollt disappears from the public eye.

After wanderings through East Germany, Czechowslowakia and North-Holland, Knollt becomes a musical entertainer on luxury cruise boats, keeping that job for over forty years. Suspected of controversial practices (tax evasion and messing around with royalty percentages), Knollt is imprisoned for four years in Asutria.

Now, at a later stage of his life, Knollt chooses to take the stage again with a show that surveys his life with a wide open gaze. In his unique and virtuoso way he sketches his physical and mental decline and the imminent end.

Can solace be found in Tony Knollt’s oeuvre? Absolutely. His haunting lyrics and stunning melodies offer consolation, joy and lust for life.

• Prins Zonder Carnaval

Elected Prince Carnaval of Schaerbeek in 2020, McCloud Zicmuse (Hoquets, Le Ton Mité, The Lover BE) had all it took to lead the parade, but carnaval was cancelled. Thus the PRINS ZONDER CARNAVAL decided to form an eclectic big band with other lost carnies. Pluriform and pluridisciplinary, the PRINS and band of merry makers produce plurigenre sound stories: from folk to soul, from jazz to doo wop, from thrash to opera, from electro to downright dirty. Whatever it takes to get the party started!

• Azerty Klavierwerke & Vieze Meisje

In March 2021, Azertyklavierwerke dropped the single Durum, a catchy ode to the durum kebab but also a song about the sense of incompleteness. Vieze Meisje provides the backing vocals.
