➤ STUK Labozaal - Naamsestraat 96, Leuven
➤ Free with reservation

The annual sound art masterclass introduces master students from the Radio and Sound Design programmes of the RITCS to the work of Bram Bosteels. Bosteels is invited to spend a week working with them around the themes, concepts and techniques of his artistic practice. The students work towards a presentation moment in which they experiment with these ideas and incorporate them into their own practice.

Bram Bosteels is a musician, composer, instrument builder and educator. Bosteels is best known for his alter ego Kaboom Karavan, with which he combines self-made instruments, (historical) acoustic string instruments and electronics. In this way, Bosteels creates a universe that resembles a nocturnal carnival, strange vaudeville or folklore from an imaginary country. Kaboom Karavan will play a concert at STUK on 15 October to inspire the RITCS students, but everyone is welcome.
