WISPER — Jam Session
In our free jams, all musicians, musical styles, instruments and voices are welcome! Together, we'll crawl into the magic of the moment and let ourselves be carried away by the music and structure that will emerge that way.
You can request jazz and funk standards or pop songs from time to time, but that is not necessarily the focus of these sessions. Our jam sessions are mainly meant as a sanctuary for singers and musicians, who feel like playing together and letting the surprises happen.
Little or no experience? Doesn't matter! The jams are accompanied by our music staff member Reindert and his trusty saxophone. Those who need it will get a little push from him. And before you know it, you will be part of the jamming world!
You can attend one, two or all the sessions - each jam is a separate meeting so it's no problem at all if you can only attend one of them. Registration is not required, but greatly appreciated - you can do so via this link.
WISPER provides a a PA system, a drum kit, 2 stage pianos, several percussion instruments, and vocal microphones. Guitarists who bring their own amplifier are greatly appreciated! If necessary, we can plug you into the mixing board.
