The Colorist Orchestra

After a long trajectory that saw The Colorist Orchestra accompany others and colour songs of invited vocalists, Aarich Jespers & Kobe Proesmans now fully focus on recolouring instrumental music. They prefer the term 're-composed', trying to follow a tradition of re-using elements from earlier compositions and re-shaping them into new work. Recognisable elements of the music that serves as a starting point are the ideal vehicle for the orchestra's sound experiments. During this residency in STUK, TCO will start their research on how first rhythmic compositions and arrangements can be turned into playable material.
